Our Team

Winnie: Ambassador of Wingrove

Winnie is our wonderful, adorable and comical clinic cat! She is our Walmart greeter and daily entertainment! Winnie arrived at Granite Ridge Golf course in the dead of winter in 2012. One of our very caring clients could not bear to see this young cat outside all winter so Winnie spent her first few months apprenticing in the shop. Come April it was too busy for Winnie so she came to us in hopes of finding a home. It didn't take long for us to realize how perfect she is for Wingrove!

Winnie brings a smile to our faces daily with her antics and the cute ways about her. Our clients now look for her when they arrive. She can be found greeting cats and dogs as they arrive, lying on keyboards, amongst the lab equipment, in boxes, on staff laps or under her blanket in the lounge. As pictured, she does also love to find a sunny spot!

I think if Winnie could speak, she would tell you she loves us almost as much as we love her!

Arlene is one of the friendly voices you will hear on the phone or the first to greet you when you come in. She has been with us since 2015. Since she was young, Arlene has shared her home with cats. Her first dog Teddy came into her life when they bought their country property - he came with it! Since then their family has been fortunate to have had so many other animals to love. Arlene, her husband and their son now share their home (and barn) with 3 dogs, and 9 (yes 9!) cats. Arlene loves to read and to find recipes for anything sweet! She has her own police horse trading cards - ask for one when you see her.

Jordan has been at Wingrove since 2013. He graduated from the University of Guelph in 2004 and made the city his permanent place of residence in 2012. When he's not at the front desk, you may see him performing his songs at one of Guelph's local music venues. At home, he spends most of his time with his family; including his four cats and a fluffy rabbit.

Jenny is one of our Registered Veterinary Technician and has been with us at Wingrove since 2008. She received her diploma from Ridgetown college in 2006 where she graduated top of her class! Jenny lives with her lab cross and 4 cats. When Jenny isn't working she can be found playing ball in the park with her pup or buried under a pile of pets trying to watch a movie. She has a keen interest in pet nutrition and can answer any dietary questions you may have.

Randi recently started at Wingrove Veterinary Hospital. Randi decided that a career in Veterinary medicine was right for her ever since she laid eyes on her first dog, Tubby. He was the reason she fell in love with the pet world! The unconditional love, care, and the bond between humans and animals was something that was very inspiring for her. She decided to expand her love for animals by becoming a Veterinary Technician. Randi graduated from the Vet Tech program at Georgian College in 2010 with honors. She went on to complete the National Exam to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. She is passionate about surgery, anesthesia and educating clients.

Randi is a very active person outside of work. She enjoys playing multiple sports, such as hockey, baseball and soccer. She enjoys spending her free time with her significant other Evan, her 3 wonderful rescue cats Buster, Pip, and Captain and her active Boston terrier Leonidas. They sure are one cuddle purr-fect family!

Meagan is one of our Registered Veterinary Technicians who has a passion for small animals and on weekends works with large animals.  She graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Algonquin College in 2016 and has been working in practice ever since.  In 2017 she decided to pursue further education and has recently graduated from the University of Guelph with a Major (with honors!) in Animal Biology.  We are happy that Meagan joined our team in January 2020.

Outside of work, she loves to kayak, camp, visit with family and spends time volunteering at spay/neuter clinics as well as working with students from the Ontario Veterinary College.  Meagan has a family full of four-legged loved ones.  Her crazy kitten Juniper turned from "foster to forever" and has been with her since 2020.

Esther is an Animal Care Attendant, Registered Veterinary Technician and former Professional Pet Stylist. She graduated from the Animal Care program at Sheridan College in 2011 and Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College in 2014. In 2016, she received her diploma from Pets Beautiful School of Styling in London Ontario before joining Wingrove that summer. When Esther is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and playing with their two funny cats and one happy-go-lucky chihuahua.

Our Veterinary Assistants and Animal Care Attendants

At Wingrove we often employ aspiring young vets on their way to and through Vet College. Our assistants are wonderful team members working at our front desk or in the prep area assisting wherever needed; you may see them when they bring in or returning your pet to you!  They work throughout the week, weekends and summer hours. You will be impressed with the skills and knowledge they have acquired!  We are thrilled to have Niamh, Emily, Alexandra and Julia with us and hope you will have a chance to meet them soon!

Kirsten is excited to join the team as our Groomer, graduating from the Pets Beautiful School of Styling as a Professional Pet Stylist.  She has a background in the design industry where she studied and worked before finding her true passion in the animal care industry.  She has experience working as a Dog Walker/Petsitter as well as a Veterinary Assistant.  Her love and compassion for dogs in combination with her design background helped her find the best job ever! Away from work Kirsten enjoys being with family and friends and going on a variety of outdoor activities with her dog Eleanor Rigby.  You'll probably find her singing or humming along to a tune from time to time.  She is obsessed with music of all genres hence the name of her dog.
